so lately these days i have taken to a newer routine at night. kinda helps with the winding down. It starts out after we put Miles down for the night. Once 10pm rolls around we turn on Comedy Central and watch the Daily Show followed by the Colbert Report. good stuff there. most of the time a snack with go along with those shows. than at 11pm i go up into bed, and i mean up into bed, and read for about a half an hour. i recently just finished Whiteout by Greg Rucka. excellent story and well drawn. Currently i am reading through Watchmen again since the movie version is about to hit theaters in March. once 11:30pm rolls around i put the book away and watch something on the iPod. most of the time it will be a podcast but sometimes i will watch an episode of a tv show or part of a movie. helps me wind down and fade out. after that, no longer than a half an hour for me, i will listen to one of my audio podcast shows and fade off into dreamland. that’s it really. not sure why i shared that, but i am trying to keep up with my 2wice a week blogging goal.

this is just creepy. the artists over at pixeloo has created a series of renderings of famous fictional animated characters called “untooned”. From Mario to Homer Simpson to the latest of Jessica Rabbit from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”. they are really well done, but they make me very happy that these people do not exist… -

Well yesterday I canceled my Netflix account. It was not exactly a hard decision to make. We were paying
about $15 a month for 2 DVDs at a time and as many as we could get a month. Sounds great, right? Quite the deal! Well it was for a while, until we get sidetracked or things get in the way of watching movies, like sick kids or just getting too busy. So we ended up keeping some movies for up to 4 weeks at a time. That is an expensive rental at $15 a month and than keeping the same two movies for that time too when we could have had more. It just ended up being a waste of money for us, and when money is tight you gotta cut where you can.
On the other side, we have an Apple TV that we have had since the day the were available. we love it because we can watch out TV Shows and Movies with one box (as long as they are stored on the computer or the Hard Drive of the Apple TV itself). But recently Apple updated the functionality of the Apple TV and now you can rent movies directly from your couch at any time you want to! the other nice thing is that a lot of the movies are available in HD! This is nice because we happen to have an HD TV. The prices are very good too. A Standard Definition movies will run you $2.99 for library titles and $3.99 for new releases and HD title are just $1 more. That is much better than Netflix because you can get anything that is available any time and you don’t have to wait for it to come int he mail or have it sitting around for weeks and weeks while your subscription gets wasted away. So far I have been very pleased with it. (More …)

Hey, boys. I know it took, like, two whole seasons before you became comfortable enough with your masculinity to admit enjoying Project Runway and start watching the show with your lady-friends. It’s really great that you were open-minded enough to spend a night every week with Bravo, NBC’s flamboyant cousin. Anyway, about that… Project Runway is leaving Bravo for Lifetime. Secret Runway fans need come out now, because “Oh! I thought tonight was Top Chef! I guess I’ll just watch this anyway…” isn’t going to cut it anymore, because the only other options on Lifetime are Meredith Baxter TV movies and Your Mama Don’t Dance.Continue reading Project Runway jumps from Bravo to Lifetime
